Investment analyst Trey Corbett plays a key role on our investment team, overseeing and assessing all investment activity of the charitable funds the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation administers.
Our investment team works closely with financial advisors to oversee the investment activity of our donors’ charitable giving, including those that invest passively in our pools and those that participate in our financial advisor program.
Before joining the Community Foundation, Trey spent the first 10 years of his career at an asset management company, helping pair investors with investment solutions.
“When I moved from the for-profit sector to a nonprofit, I didn’t know what to expect,” said Trey. “Now I come to work with a purpose and know what I do has a positive impact on people and our community.”
In his role at the Community Foundation, Trey utilizes his knowledge of advanced investment analysis and portfolio management to help professional advisors better serve their charitable clients. Trey also works with donors to discuss how their asset allocation meets their charitable objectives.
“I love to explore and develop new ways to better serve our donors, everything from helping donors make impact investments to creating literature on charitable giving.”
Impact investing is a great opportunity for donors to invest their charitable assets in community issues they care most about.
